For over 100 years the historic Murat Shrine has hosted special events in the Indianapolis Metropolitan area. Offering a variety of beautiful event spaces, Murat Events provides full service catering to groups as large as 400. Our flexibility allows us to customize a unique event for every client.

 

Grafton Peek Catering is proud to be the exclusive food and beverage partner for Murat Events. Whether you are hosting a casual or formal event, Grafton Peek & Murat Events is happy to assist you in coordinating and furnishing a function that best suits your ideal taste and budget.

Murat Events provides upscale and casual event services for weddings, corporate functions, special events and more. We will gladly coordinate some or all of your event requirements including food and beverage, wedding cakes, music, venues, linens, tents, tables and chairs, themed parties, limo services, photographers and much more.

Wedding Cakes

We are happy to customize your wedding cake and other specialty dessert choices. The Grafton Peek Cakery & Murat Events offers all of your favorite classic cake flavors and our cake designers will work with you to create your preferred wedding day dessert.

 

Our cakes, icings, cake pops, cupcakes, sweet & traditional breads, cookies, chocolate strawberries and other treats are made fresh at the Grafton Peek Cakery daily.

Interested in having entertainment at your event or reception?

Grafton Peek provides a complete selection of excellent wedding & corporate event DJ / MCs, live music, audio / video production and more.

Grafton Peek’s house musicians are the Impossible Jazz Collaboration.  Impossible Jazz offers a wide variety of sounds and pricing and will work with you to customize your ideal evening’s sound.

Photo & Video

As part of our one-stop-shop ideology, Murat Events provides wedding videography & photography for a very competitive and reasonable rate.

 

We use an a la carte type approach to making your perfect video package. Our professionals utilize high quality HD video cameras in order to give you the perfect recap of your very special day with clear audio and professional editing.

Horse & Carriage

Allow us to assist in making your fairytale wedding a reality with a romantic horse-drawn carriage! Our carriage partner’s antique style horse-drawn carriages (now with LED lighting) will add the perfect touch of elegance to your ceremony or reception.

 

By choosing the hourly carriage rental, the freedom is yours to fulfill your unique vision– a regal wedding entrance, a grand send-off, or elegant photo opportunities.

 

You will be serviced by our private wedding carriage which is separate from the downtown carriage fleet.  This carriage is all white in color with Royal Red plush interior.  This carriage is maintained in a classic look, optimal for picture-perfect wedding photographs.   Other carriages are available as well so please don’t hesitate to ask.

About us

The chefs at Grafton Peek are always willing to customize menu & dessert selections that fit your specific theme or dietary needs and our Event Coordinators will work with you to layout the perfect room set up and services package to make your daily uniquely special. Grafton Peek Catering began its partnership with the Murat Shrine in 2016 creating Murat Events to oversee all of the Murat members and public events. Since that time, Murat Events has continued to make improvements to the existing kitchen & event rooms and has rapidly regained its luster as downtown Indianapolis’ premiere event venue. Located in the cultural epicenter of Indianapolis, Murat Events is located adjacent to Mass Ave and offers parking lots and street parking for guests.
